 1) Sheikh Zayed’s Grand Mosque

Sheikh Zayed Mosque is a must-see attraction in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The magnificent architecture of the mosque is the first thing that attracts your attention. The stunning white Sheikh Zayed mosque is an excellent location for taking photographs. The interior of the mosque is vibrantly coloured, with beautiful calligraphy. The initiative was intended to inspire visitors by bringing together many parts of Islamic art and culture in one area. In Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, also known as the National Mosque of Abu Dhabi, is magnificent. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is said to be the largest in the UAE.

2) Qasr AlWatan

Qasr in Arabic means “palace,” which is a term you’ll hear a lot in Abu Dhabi. So Qasr AlWatan translates as “Palace of the Nations.” This is high on my list of things to do in Abu Dhabi because it is a must-see and easily one of the top Abu Dhabi attractions. I couldn’t get over how grand this place is. You must purchase a ticket in advance or at the door, and a bus will take you to the palace. Before entering, you can take a stroll around the expansive courtyard. This palace in Abu Dhabi was only opened in 2015, and it’s a working presidential palace, so it’s in fantastic condition. It’s designed with a mix of modern and traditional Arabic architecture.

3) Desert Safari in the Morning

If you don’t have time for an evening safari on your Abu Dhabi vacation, you can do a morning safari instead. If you’ve done an evening safari before, this will be a new experience for you. This is a highly rated and reviewed morning safari that includes dune bashing, sandboarding, and a camel ride for a great price. A morning safari has the advantage of providing cooler temperatures, especially if you are visiting Abu Dhabi in the summer.

4) Desert safari in the evening

One of the entertaining activities in Abu Dhabi is a desert safari. Yes, it is very touristy. This desert safari tour has the best reviews in Abu Dhabi and is very reasonably priced. Before reaching our camp, where we could go quad biking, sand boarding, or just walk along the dunes until sunset, we spent about an hour or so dune bashing and stopping to see some camels along the way. After that, we could enjoy a buffet and some entertainment. If it is touristy and not an authentic dessert experience, you must still enjoy it for what it is!

5) Qasr AlHosn

Abu Dhabi has developed quickly, and visiting Qasr AlHosn is a great way to see what this area of Abu Dhabi looked like before it took on the form that it does now. The museum is indoors and air-conditioned, making it one of the best indoor activities in Abu Dhabi, after which you can go outside to see more of the fort. The square where Qasr AlHosn is situated is lovely, and there are a few cafes nearby, so be sure to include a coffee or lunch here as part of your Abu Dhabi itinerary. If you’re Muslim, The Espresso Lab, which is a minute away from Qasr AlHosn, has some incredible prayer rooms.

6) Abu Dhabi Louvre

I also enjoyed my visit to the one in Abu Dhabi! It has a breathtaking view of the city skyline and is surrounded by some lovely and serene gardens. At the end, you can go outside and sit by the water, have a meal or coffee in the restaurant, and admire the impressive dome structure from the inside. I went for lunch at Aptitude Cafe after my visit to the Louvre because it has an amazing view of the building, a great vibe, and sells healthy drinks and meals, so I could have a healthy lunch.

7) Kayaking at the Louvre

There are three great options for kayaking in Abu Dhabi, one of which is at the Louvre, which you might not have expected, and I certainly didn’t until I was looking for things to do in Abu Dhabi. Sea-Hawks Water Sports can take you out onto the Arabian Sea for an hour to see the architecture of the building from a different perspective and to learn more about the museum. Children as young as 6 years old can go on this, although until they are 12 years old they must be accompanied.

 8) Kayaking in the National Park of the Eastern Mangroves

Check out this 2-hour kayaking trip in Eastern Mangrove National Park if you’re looking for a kayaking experience that is both incredibly relaxing and educational and interesting in Abu Dhabi. This mangrove is home to 60 different species, including fish and turtles. On this kayaking trip in Abu Dhabi, you can get up close to the mangroves, discover their significance to the city of Abu Dhabi, and stop halfway through at a beach where you can swim if you like. This is the longest kayaking trip you can take in Abu Dhabi; below, I’ll describe kayaking in Jubail Mangrove Park, which I did, but it only took me an hour there instead of two here.

9) Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World is without a doubt one of the best things to do in Abu Dhabi and is a well-known Abu Dhabi attraction. Because Ferrari is involved, this is the only Ferrari-branded theme park in the world, located in the heart of Yas Island and home to the world’s fastest roller coaster, as well as shows, shops, and a Ferrari driving school; it’s a great place for adults and families with young children to visit on their own.

10) Jubail Mangrove Park’sBoardwalk: Jubail

Mangrove Park is Abu Dhabi’s first self-contained educational, natural, and leisure destination of its kind, and it was created to raise awareness of the important ecological function of mangroves in protecting the Abu Dhabi coastline. It’s so peaceful here, and you can’t believe the city is so close. There is a visitor centre where the boardwalk and kayaking begin. The boardwalk is a short walk along the mangroves in a relaxing setting that is ideal for photography. There’s also a cafe at the visitor centre if you want to stay and enjoy the scenery a little longer after your walk or kayaking session.
